DAYTONA BEACH, FL – The Daytona Beach ThunderBirds upgraded their offensive line this week having been assigned two new players, Brian Ross and Tellis Rodgers, by the arenafootball2 League Office.  Both have been slated to move into the starting Guard and Tight End spots.

Brian Ross is a 6’3”, 330 pound lineman from Florida State University.  He has three seasons of af2 experience.  Tellis Rodgers is a 6’2” 340 pound lineman from FAMU playing in his first af2 season.

“These are two big guys with experience that will give us time to throw down the field” said Head Coach Gary Compton.  “That is an area where we have been hurting and these guys should help to remedy the situation.”

The ThunderBirds will be in action on Sunday, May 4 in Manchester, New Hampshire to take on the Manchester Wolves.  The game can be heard locally on WROD 1340 AM in Daytona Beach beginning at 4:00.  The ThunderBirds will return home to face the Albany Conquest on Thursday, May 8 at 7:00 PM in the Ocean Center.
